Erin and I took a trip last weekend to NYC over the long weekend. I just love trips like that with my wife; she is truly my best friend! They always are good for a great memories, focus, and some relaxation.

Beach Retreat: Parent Meetings...North
Parents,
Beach retreat is truly just around the corner. Don't miss out on our Parent Meetings so that you can know all about what your JHigh & HS student will (and will not) be up to during this momentous week in their life! The Meeting dates that we ask all parents to attend are:
Tonight 6-7pm FLC Gym
Next Wednesday 7-8pm FLC Gym
- Both meetings are for both JHigh and HS Parents (kill 2 birds with 1 stone, right!)
- Both meetings will be the same content
- Yes, you can bring your child's / friend's registration to the meetings

Welcome our Summer interns
We have some amazing summer interns, seriously! They just arrived yesterday and I can't wait for everyone to meet them this Wednesday Night at WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. Thought I would introduce them to you by way of picture...
Amanda Loper - (HS Girls Intern) Amanda has been on the mission field for the last 2 years and has a HUGE heart for God.
Landon Riley (JHigh Intern) - Landon just wrapped up his freshman year in college and is excited about being at OBU next year, but for this summer he is here to invest in our JHigh students...great guy!
Brandon Billups (HS Guys intern) -Brandon just graduated form DBU and is going to pursue God's leading into Student Ministry. We are stoked that he is beginning that journey with us here at Second!

FLIP: a new Weekend Series
This weekend (May 17/18) we are kicking off a new series in the Student Ministry called "FLIP UR Life"
I can't wait to see what God does as we get a closer look at some individuals whose lives were absolutely flipped upside down for Christ and His Cause after a life-altering encounter with God.
God has a message for our students each and every week. I can't wait to see what He does!
