This summer we have an opportunity of a lifetime here at Second! What if you could go on a Mission Trip in the comfort of your own Home? That's exactly what we are seeing happen as the Chinese Government has chosen to send 100 Chinese students to Second to better understand our culture!
When: July 18th thru August 6th, 2010 (Two Weekends)

These students are a great group of young men and women - ages 13-16 - drawn for this program from schools across Sichuan. With thousands of applicants, only 300 are selected based on academic strength, behavioral discipline, and cultural communication.
What Is Expected of a Host Home?
Transportation to (9:00 am) and from (3:30 pm) the church Monday through Friday
(carpooling is an option!) Meals for the students, except lunch during the week and Wednesday nights when they are on campus where they will be taught English, US History, American Government, as well as classes on our American culture and religion , mmerse them into your family’s lifestyle, Share your Christian values and beliefs
What is Not Expected of a Host Home?
You will not incur expenses for field trips, medical or any extra expenses the students might have while in your home
You will not be expected to make major medical decisions regarding the students in your home
Other Helpful Information
The students attend a week long orientation seminar in Chengdu prior to
departing China. They are trained in manners, skills and become
familiar with our laws and currency. They are held to the highest standards of
behavior and respect by their government.
